The purpose of Studio Session Live
is to bring the Guest Artists to the audience
so that the artist seems to be in the room with you.
We want 52 weeks of programs, and 52 performances that you will remember.
We want the type of music that will run through your head at stoplights,
and before you drop off to sleep at night.
it is the good music, and the good friends..
Studio Session Live started on May 3, 2015, and is aimed at NPR and PRI stations. Dave Palmater was the first host. We now have four hosts.
The guest may be a solo singer songwriter, or a band. They may come from next door, or from across the country. They may be Folk, Americana, Country, Celtic, Bluegrass, or even Renaissance. What they will always have in common is very good music. We look for the songwriters that create and understand music with lyrics, melody, and harmony, that involve the listener beyond just loudness. We look for story tellers, and melody writers, and song finders who make music that captures the audience. We like candy for the ears.
Our host will introduce them and their music, and give you a view behind the scenes as he interviews them, and finds out the story about them and their music. Each show is music and musician centered. Each show features one group or artist, and includes two 4 minute interviews, and 48 minutes of music in three sets.
A cash bar is available, so you can enjoy the shows with beer or wine.-
If you see yourself fitting into a project like this, you might want to email us information about you, and where we can find both audio and video samples of you performing.
Why we do all the work:
“ You go over and above in everything you do. I know now the work you put into your projects and I respect your dedication to commit, and to get as close to perfection as possible. When you played back my show I was speechless. “
“Its like having the performers sitting in the room with you.”
This weekly show is made for Public Radio Stations
in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
